长期从事胸部肿瘤外科的研究、转化。建立多模态的早期肺癌术后预警体系，精准识别术后高危复发人群，提高手术远期疗效。主持各级课题10项，个人获资助200余万，累计发表SCI论文60余篇，单篇最高影响因子13分。

Dr. Xie has been engaged in the research and transformation of thoracic oncology，established a multi-mode postoperative early warning system for lung cancer, which can accurately identify high-risk postoperative recurrence patients, improving the efficacy of surgical treatment. Dr. Xie presided over 10 research projects and received funds more than 2.0 million, published more than 60 SCI papers．The highest impact factor (IF) is 13.

In 2019, " Establishment and promotion of multi-node accurate diagnosis and treatment strategy for early lung cancer surgery " won the first prize of Shanghai Anti-cancer Science and Technology Award (6th accomplisher); "Establishment and application of accurate diagnosis and treatment system for early lung cancer" won the second prize of science and technology progress award of the ministry of education (7th accomplisher);

In 2018, "Key technologies and clinical promotion of minimally invasive surgery in lung surgery" won the second prize of Chinese medical science and technology progress award (the fifth accomplisher);

In 2017, "Clinical and basic research on carina resection and reconstruction of difficult trachea" won the second prize of Chinese medical science and technology progress award (the fifth accomplisher）．

In 2016, Dr．Xie won the third prize of Shanghai medical staff scientific and technological innovation "starlight plan" (the first accomplisher).
